Deltona, Fla : Woman killed, 4 injured when dump truck crashes through I-4 guardrail on April 28th 2014 early morning
A woman died early Monday after a crash involving a dump truck closed Interstate 4 westbound.
Officials said the dump truck was traveling eastbound on I-4 near the St. Johns River bridge when a tire separated and it crossed through a guardrail, hitting at least four vehicles. A woman in one of the vehicles was killed, and four people were transported to a hospital.
About 50 to 60 gallons of fuel spilled onto the roadway.
According to Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Kim Montes, the roadway is expected to be closed for at least three hours, but officials are working to get motorists trapped on I-4 off and onto alternate routes.
