Limington,ME : Driver uninjured in Limington crash on March, Monday 19th 2018
York County Sheriff Bill King said the driveer of a box truck escaped injury early Monday when the truck crashed near Brackett's Orchard on Route 11, Sokokis Trail.
The crash was reported by a passerby at about 5:20 a.m. King said. Upon arrival at the scene, responding deputies found a 2012 Freightliner Ryder rental box truck rolled over onto its side.
The operator, Predrag Manjerovic, 24, from the state of Washington, said he crossed the center line and then over corrected, causing him to lose control of the vehicle, according to King. Manjerovic was not injured and was able to free himself from the truck.
The driver was delivering packages for Amazon and the truck was loaded mostly with merchandise, the sheriff said. He estimated that approximately five gallons of fuel and transmission fluid leaked on the snowcovered ground as a result of the mishap.
King said Limington and Limerick first responders as well as Maine Department of Environmental Protection responded.
King said the road would be closed while the vehicle was being righted and removed and he advised motorists to avoid the area on Monday.
