Springfield, OH : Three people injured after crash that struck Springfield house on Wednesday afternoon, February 15, 2017

The three people involved in a car crash on the corner of McCreight and Fountain avenues didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries, Springfield police said Thursday morning.
Two vehicles collided Wednesday afternoon, which resulted in one of the cars — a red Ford Fusion — jumping the curb and hitting a home’s porch. The other vehicle, a grey Lexus, had its front end destroyed in the wreck.

Springfield Police Sgt. Brett Bauer said the passenger of the Fusion, Neal Campbell, was taken to Miami Valley Regional Hospital. Officials at the scene said he was going to be transported by medical helicopter.

He was listed in fair condition on Thursday morning, according to hospital officials.

The driver of the Fusion was Carolyn Campbell and the driver of the Lexus was Patricia Hellmuth. Both Carolyn Campbell and Hellmuth were taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

The cause of the crash is still unknown, Bauer said.

“There were no citations because everyone claimed to have a green light,” Bauer said. “And not a single witness stayed behind. Without a witness or photo evidence, it’s tough to find fault.”
