Orlando, FL : A man is dead and two others injured in a car crash at Orange County On Saturday May 7th, 2016

A man is dead and two others injured after a crash Saturday night in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Peter Perez, 49, of Orlando, was traveling westbound on Colonial Drive in the left turn lane. Another vehicle, driven by Vanelys Ortiz, 21, of Titusville was traveling eastbound on Colonial in the outside lane.

Perez made a left turn onto 3rd Avenue and traveled into the direct path of Ortiz, troopers said. The front of Perez’s Nissan struck the right side of the other vehicle.

Perez died at the scene.

Ortiz and her passenger were taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
