MALIBU, CA : A man was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Malibu on Friday, January, 26th 2018

A man was injured in a two-vehicle collision in Malibu Friday night that sent one vehicle over the side of the road and left a van overturned.

The crash occurred on Kanan Dune Road near Via Acero Street about 6:45 p.m., the California Highway Patrol reported.

One vehicle ended up more than 100 feet down the side of Kanan Dune Road, CHP Officer Alex Rubio said. The other vehicle, a van, wound up overturned on its roof.

One man inside the car that went off the road was injured and taken to a hospital, said Los Angeles County Fire Department Dispatch Supervisor Jeremy Stafford. No one in the overturned van was hurt, he said.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation by the CHP.
