Des Moines, IA : Man hospitalized after motorcycle, SUV collide on Sunday, 9th June 2019

A man was in critical condition at a local hospital Sunday night after the motorcycle he was driving collided with an SUV in downtown Des Moines.

Witnesses told police that the man on the motorcycle was driving fast before the crash, which happened just before 7:41 p.m. The motorcycle was traveling northbound on 6th Avenue when it collided with the SUV, which was traveling eastbound on Park Street, Des Moines Police said in a news release.
