PUTNAM COUNTY, WV : One person killed one seriously injured in head-on crash in Putnam County on Wednesday, 5th July 2023

A woman was killed and another was injured in a head-on crash in Putnam County on Wednesday.

Lisa Henry, 62, of Dunbar was killed after her vehicle crossed the centerline in the Red House area and struck another vehicle head-on, West Virginia State Police said in a news release.

Henry, who troopers said they believe was driving under the influence, was taken to a local hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the second vehicle, Lishia Casto, 62, of Red House was taken to a Huntington area hospital with serious injuries, the news release said.
