Calhoun County, FL : Motorcyclist killed in Calhoun accident on Youngstown Scott Ferry Road on Monday, 24th February, 2020

A Grand Ridge man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle left the road and struck a fence post, authorities say.

The accident occurred on Youngstown Scott Ferry Road in Calhoun County about 2:25 p.m., according to a statement from the Florida Highway Patrol.

Keary Alexander Nichols, 20, was driving east on his Benelli 302S motorcycle when he failed to negotiate a curve.

Nichols fell off the bike and they both went off the road and struck a wooden fence post.

Nichols was taken to Bay Medical Sacred Heart where he died of his injuries.
