Charlotte County, FL : Two teenagers injured after a crash in Port Charlotte on Wednesday, December 16, 2015

Two teenagers were injured after they were struck by a car in Charlotte County on Wednesday night.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol:

Oscar Ramirez, 15, of Port Charlotte and Eugene Rider, 18, of Parrish were walking south on Loveland Boulevard just south of Almond Avenue in Port Charlotte.

At 7:49 p.m., Annette Rasmussen, 77, of Port Charlotte was driving a 2015 Subaru Forrester south on Loveland. The Subaru collided with both pedestrians, who were walking in the road in front of the vehicle.

Ramirez was flown to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg with critical injuries. Rider was taken to Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte for treatment of injuries described as serious.
