FORT LAUDERDALE, FL : Boca man killed, 2 injured in crash on Interstate 95 south of Sunrise Boulevard on Saturday, 25th April, 2020

A 21-year-old Boca Raton man was killed Saturday night in a crash near Fort Lauderdale, the Florida Highway Patrol reports.

He was one of three 21-year-old men in a sedan shortly before 9 p.m. heading north on Interstate 95 south of Sunrise Boulevard.

The sedan was in the exit-only lane when another vehicle cut it off, authorities said. The Hollywood man driving the sedan veered to the left to avoid a crash with the vehicle and instead wrecked into a barrier wall.

The Boca Raton man, who was not wearing a seat belt while riding in the back seat of the sedan, was thrown from the car.
