Lime Springs,IA : Motorcyclist hurt in crash on September, Saturday 9th 2017

A motorcyclist was hurt in a crash in Howard County on Saturday afternoon.

The driver has not yet been identified. The victim was flown by air care to Gundersen Health Center-La Crosse, Wis., according to the Iowa State Patrol.

The crash was reported about 4:40 p.m. at the intersection of Unity Avenue and 45th Street, east of Lime Springs.


Troopers said the cyclist was northbound on 45th Street when the vehicle left the pavement of the roadway, then came back on, lost control and crashed into a ditch at the intersection.

The crash remains under investigation.
