KINGSPORT, TN : Kingsport motorist cited in rollover crash on Wednesday, August 30, 2017

A three-vehicle collision on Wednesday evening sent an SUV on its top and the elderly driver to the hospital with possible injuries.

Records at the Kingsport Police Department state the collision occurred at about 5:45 p.m. in the 1300 block of the John B. Dennis Highway. As a Buick sedan was southbound and approaching Stewball Circle, a northbound Nissan Pathfinder made a left turn attempting to enter a BP.

The car struck the passenger side of the Nissan, causing it to rollover. While doing so, it hit a Honda CRV that was leaving the gas station.

The driver of the Nissan, an 82-year-old Kingsport man, was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. He was also issued a citation for failure to yield.
