BOSTON, MA : A hit-and-run crash on Monday, September 4, 2017
A Massachusetts company that owns a van involved in a hit-and-run crash that injured two pedestrians says the vehicle had been stolen before the crash.
A spokeswoman for Cambridge-based bicycle shop Crimson Bikes said Monday that they are cooperating with the police investigation of the Sunday night crash in Boston. Two women, ages 19 and 21, were injured in the collision, and a 17-year-old boy has been arrested.
Police say the van ran a red light before hitting the women. The vehicle was found heavily damaged near the scene of the crash, and the suspected driver was tracked down nearby.
The injured women are expected to survive.
