Eau Claire,WI : Man dies in Barron County crash on May,Sunday 27th 2018

One man is dead following a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening near Rice Lake.

According to the Wisconsin State Patrol:

The crash took place Sunday at 5:24 p.m. at the intersection of Highway SS and Highway B in Barron County.

The 31-year old driver from Rice Lake was the lone occupant of the vehicle, and he was deceased when state troopers arrived at the scene.

Officials said the vehicle, a 2007 Chevy Silverado K150, was southbound on Highway SS when it entered the ditch and rolled over several times.

The driver of the car was not wearing his seat belt and was under the influence of alcohol.

The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of family.

The State Patrol will continue to investigate the crash.
