According to Florida Highway Patrol, a Panama City woman was killed late Thursday following a head-on crash on State Road 20.
In a new release, FHP said 22-year-old Anna Kay Taylor, of Panama City, was traveling east on SR 20 in a 2008 Nissan at 11:08 p.m. Thursday when the vehicle crossed the center line into the west-bound lane, colliding with the front of a 2006 Ford King Ranch pickup driven by Alexander Strickland, 23, of Athens, Georgia.
After impact, Taylor's Nissan traveled southwest into the east-bound travel lane, coming to final rest in the east-bound lane facing southwest. Strickland's truck traveled off the roadway onto the north shoulder, coming to final rest facing southeast.
Taylor was pronounced dead following the crash while Strickland is listed in serious condition at an area hospital. There was no injury report for a male passenger in the pickup.
The news release said charges are pending a traffic homicide investigation.
