Twin Falls, ID : Driver crashes SUV over small canal in Twin Falls on Monday, Oct 5, 2015

Police rescued three people, including a child, after they lost control of their SUV and ended up crashing over a small canal in Twin Falls Monday.

Police says officers were called out to Blue Lakes Boulevard Monday evening after the driver of a 1999 Ford Expedition lost control, drove off the road and ended up perching the large SUV over a canal. Several Good Samaritans immediately stopped to help and removed the child from the car before police arrived.

One person was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The man and child were not injured.

"We would like to thank our "good Samaritan" citizens for assisting with the safety of the child and being willing to assist when needed," police wrote on Facebook.
