DANVILLE, CA : Danville man killed in accident on Wednesday, 15th January, 2020

A Danville man was killed in a two-vehicle accident on the east side of the city early Wednesday.

Vermilion County Coroner Jane McFadden identified the victim as Kirklyn O. Butcher, 23.

Danville Police Commander Terry McCord said because the investigation is not complete, he couldn’t release information about the drivers or others who were involved other than to say it was a head-on collision on Lynch Road just south of Main Street that happened about 7:15 a.m.

McFadden said Mr. Butcher was pronounced dead at the scene. He was a passenger, she said.

The accident remains under investigation.
