A 43-year-old Perkins man was taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Enid for a head injury after his and another semi-truck collided west of Southard on Monday morning.
According to a report from a trooper with the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Bryan Kelley of Perkins was driving northbound in his truck behind another north on State Highway 51-A at about 9:16 a.m. Monday when the driver of the second truck, Caleb Fergerson, stopped at a stop sign. Kelley struck the truck with his and departed to the right of the roadway, hitting high-line poles.
Kelley was admitted in stable condition to the hospital, and both Fergerson and a passenger were not injured.
