A 44-year-old woman died after a T-bone crash in Fairfield on Friday morning, police said.

Authorities responded to the intersection of Symmes and North Gilmore roads around 7 a.m. for the report of a two-vehicle crash, said Doug Day, Fairfield police spokesperson.

Preliminary investigation suggests two vehicles collided while going through the intersection, Day said.

The deceased woman's identity will not be released until family is notified and an autopsy is performed, according to an official with the Butler County Coroner's Office.

No one else was injured.

"Who was at fault? I can't say that yet because the crash is still under investigation. No citations have been issued," Day said.
