HANOVER, VA : Car lands in South Anna River after I-95 crash on Thursday, 31st October 2024

A crash on Interstate 95 led to a car landing in the South Anna River early Thursday morning.

Virginia State Police responded to a single-vehicle crash on I-95 south at mile marker 95 in Hanover County.

“The vehicle ran went over the guard rail and struck several trees while overturning down a steep embankment and landing in the South Anna River,” Virginia State Police said.

A Virginia State Police spokesperson said Thursday afternoon that the driver was found at a friend’s house with minor injuries.

There’s currently no information on whether or not any charges have been filed.
