East Missoula ,MT : 9-year-old boy injured in hit-and-run on Thursday evening ,June 11th 2015
The Montana Highway Patrol is investigating a second hit-and-run incident in the Missoula area involving a young child on a bicycle.
Trooper Andrew Novak said the 9-year-old boy was riding his bike about 5 p.m. Thursday when a large, 1970s car with wooden paneling struck him at the intersection of Speedway Avenue and Peacock Street in East Missoula.
The car continued driving westbound on Speedway.
The child suffered non-life-threatening injuries, Novak said.
"He had some cuts and abrasions to his left elbow and some pain and weakness in his left foot," Novack said.
He said there was one witness to the incident, but neither the victim nor the witness remembered a more thorough description of the vehicle.
