Jamestown, N.D : Minnesota man killed, two injured in two-vehicle crash on Interstate 94 in Jamestown on Monday morning, February 2, 2015

A 61-year-old Garfield, Minn., man was killed Monday morning in a two-vehicle accident on Interstate 94 at Jamestown, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The patrol said the crash occurred at 8:26 a.m. when an 18-year-old Killdeer, N.D., woman fell asleep while driving a 2004 Chevrolet Tahoe east on I-94. The woman lost control of the vehicle, it crossed the median and struck an oncoming 2012 Ford pickup truck in the westbound lane near milepost 260.
The patrol said the Garfield man driving the pickup died at the scene. A passenger in the pickup, a 35-year-old Dalton, Minn., man and the driver of the Chevrolet were transported by Jamestown Area Ambulance to Jamestown Regional Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
The patrol said the highway was blocked for several hours after the crash.
The name of the man who died has not been released pending notification of family.
The drivers of both vehicles and the passenger in the pickup truck wore seat belts and airbags also deployed.
Both vehicles were totaled.
The patrol is investigating the crash.
The Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and the Jamestown Police Department also responded to the scene.
