FRANKLIN COUNTY, VA : Fatal two-vehicle crash on Old Franklin Turnpike killsnbsphellip on Monday, 26th June 2023

Virginia State Police are investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash near Novelty Road that claimed the life of a man from Wirtz on June 26th.

According to VSP, around 6:20 am on Monday, a 1998 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 38-year-old Ashley N. Hodges of Union Hall was traveling east on Old Franklin Turnpike when she crossed the center-line and hit a 2021 Hyundai Sonata driven by 22-year-old Kyle J. Simino of Wirtz.

Simino was pronounced deceased at the scene.
