Jacksonville, FL : Driver dies following medical issue, crash on Interstate 95 in the 10000 block of North Main Street on Sunday, January 31, 2016

The 35-year-old man was driving a Honda Odyssey van containing his wife and daughter about 8:47 a.m. on the ramp to Interstate 95 in the 10000 block of North Main Street when he suffered a medical problem.

The vehicle veered into the guard rail. He died after being taken to UF Health Jacksonville, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.

His wife and daughter weren’t injured, the Sheriff’s Office said.

A JTA bus driver and a passenger sustained minor injuries early Sunday during a collision involving the bus and a sport utility vehicle at Beach and Southside boulevards in Jacksonville, said the Florida Highway Patrol.

The passenger, Aalim Jackson, 34, and bus driver, Jennifer Thompson, 51, both of Jacksonville, were taken to Memorial Hospital.

Another bus passenger, Eva Mckinnon, 27, also of Jacksonville, wasn’t injured, according to the Highway Patrol.

The SUV driver, Andrew Stalley, 25, of Jacksonville, wasn’t injured either in the 6:45 a.m. accident.

Stalley was driving east on Beach Boulevard when his sport utility vehicle hit the rear of the moving city bus. The SUV then went into the median and overturned, the Highway Patrol said.
