East Patchogue, NY : 56-year-old man killed in crossing a street on Long Island on Friday December 18 2015

Police say a pedestrian has been killed crossing a street on Long Island.
The accident happened at 8 p.m. Friday in East Patchogue.
Suffolk County police say 56-year-old Peter Alker, of Mastic Beach, was hit by a Hyundai. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and her two passengers were not injured. Police say the driver remained at the scene and has not been charged.
