TUCSON, AZ : Authorities identify Tucson woman killed in I-10 crash on Wednesday, 30th May 2018
Officials have reopened westbound lanes of Interstate 10 in Tucson after a deadly crash overnight.
According to the Arizona Department of Transportation, the crash happened between Ina and Cortaro roads after midnight on Wednesday, May 30.
A spokesman for the Arizona Department of Public Safety said an eastbound car crossed the median near Milepost 247 and struck a westbound pickup.
The driver of the car, 26-year-old Aileen A. Sanchez Armenteros of Tucson, was taken to a hospital, where she was declared dead.
Two Texas men were in the pickup. The 43-year-old driver and his 82-year-old passenger were admitted to a hospital for treatment of injuries. No further information about their condition was immediately available.
Traffic was detoured for about four hours.
