Napoleon, IN : 2 Greensburg men die in single-vehicle crash in Ripley County on Sunday afternoon, November 13, 2016

Two Greensburg men died in a single-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon on Brownstown Road near County Road 625 West, according to the Ripley County Sheriff's Office.

Police say John T. Schwering, 53, drove a 1995 Cadillac Deville off the right side of the roadway while traveling eastbound. The car collided with a culvert before going airborne and rolling several times, coming to a rest on its top in a field.

Schwering and his passenger, Boin W. Cain, 66, were not wearing seatbelts. They were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene, according to the Ripley County Sheriff's Office.

Alcohol and speed are believed to be contributing factors in the accident. The accident is currently under investigation by the Ripley County Sheriff's Office. The Sheriff's Office was assisted at the scene by the Napoleon Fire Department, Rescue 69, Ripley County Medic, the Ripley County Coroner, the Department of Natural Resources and the Indiana State Police.
