Jackson ,MS : 22-year-old Torance Jackson City employee killed after deadly motorcycle crash near Bailey Avenue on Thursday ,June 4th 2015
Thursday morning Jackson Police were on the scene of a deadly motorcycle accident at Bailey Avenue and Woodrow Wilson.
Friends and co-workers have identified the victim as 22-year-old Torance Jackson. We're told he died at the scene.
Within minutes, Jackson city employees were at the crash scene, staring in disbelief at their co-worker's mangled motorcycle, and the huge dent it left in the side of the truck.
Nate Cornish, a co-worker says, "I was training him and he left the job for a hot second to go to the store, and when I called they called me."
Just recently, Jackson was hired in the Telecommunications Department for the City of Jackson.
"Its a terrible loss. He's a good kid," George Brown, the manager of the Jackson Telecommunications Department says. "Came on board through our city workers program. From that point he was anxious in doing the right job, the right way. Very ambitious as far as career."
Police say the truck turned in front of Jackson, but it's not known who had the right of way.
