SANGERFIELD, NY : Three injured in head-on Sangerfield collision on Thursday, October 5, 2017
Three people suffered minor injuries from a Wednesday motor vehicle accident in Sangerfield, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said around 6:10 p.m., Edmond Davis, 83 of Brookfield was driving a 2015 Chrysler Sedan south on state Route 12 in Sangerfield when he attempted to make a left hand turn onto Frog Park Road, but failed to yield the right of way to a northbound vehicle.
It was then that deputies say Davis collided head-on with a 2013 Ford driven by Anna Ferrucci, 25, of Earlville. Ferrucci’s vehicle overturned and came to rest in a ditch on the east shoulder of the road.
Davis, Ferrucci and Ferrucci’s passenger Vincent Shuman, 36, of Earlville, all reported minor injuries to police.
“All three individuals, who escaped serious injury by wearing their seatbelts, were transported to St. Elizabeth’s Hospital for further treatment,” according to a release.
Davis was ticketed for failing to yield the right of way while making a left hand turn.
