Del City, OK : Two people kills Labor Day crash on Sunnylane Road between S.E. 44th and S.E. 59th on Monday night, September 1, 2014
Investigators have released the names of the two people killed in a two-vehicle collision in Del City Monday night.
According to police two 24-year-olds died when the car they were in was rear-ended by a pickup around 9:40 p.m., on Sunnylane Road between S.E. 44th and S.E. 59th.
Police said Tevyn Thompson, a mother of two, and Terrell Anderson, a father of one, died at the scene.
Friends tell the pair were best friends.
“I met Tevyn through Terrell,” said Russia Clark. “She reminded me of him. Good friends are hard to come by. They were always together.”
Police arrested 24-year-old Andrew P. Browning. He was taken to OU Medical and then booked into the Oklahoma County Jail.
Browning has been charged with two counts of manslaughter, driving under the influence and causing a fatality with no SDL.
Court documents show Browning has a previous DUI and is on probation until December. A judge previously ordered him not to come in contact with drugs or alcohol.
A makeshift memorial now marks the accident site where Anderson and Thompson died.
Funeral arrangements for the victims have not yet been released.
