Man Dies From Injuries Received In Car Pedestrian Accident

Andrew R. Gilman, 34, of Dover, died today from injuries he sustained after being struck by a car on S. DuPont Highway on July 10 in Camden. Police believe Gilman was trying to cross the median into the northbound lanes when he was hit by a car driven by Beverly Fletcher, 61. Gilman was first taken to Kent General Hospital and then transferred to Christiana Hospital. Fletcher was treated and released from Kent General. The crash, which shut down S. DuPont Highway for more than two hours, is still under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
