Rock Hill, S.C : Driver killed after crashing into tree in York County on Tuesday night, February 9, 2016

Police are investigating a crash that left one person dead Tuesday night in York County.

The wreck happened around 9:40 p.m. on Sutton Springs Road.

Authorities said two cars were involved, both heading northbound, when one driver hit the other car from behind.

That driver ran off the road, hit a tree and died at the scene, officials said.

Officials identified the driver as Larry Clinton, 55, of Clover.

The other driver was OK.

They have not said if alcohol or speed played a factor in the crash.
