Des Moines,IA : Woman, 3 kids hurt in car-train crash on June, Saturday 24th 2017

A woman and her three children were injured when an SUV collided with a train at a grade crossing southeast of Fort Dodge Saturday afternoon.

The names of the injured were not disclosed.

According to Webster County Sheriff’s Deputy Josh Van Waes, four people described as a mother and her three children were injured in the accident on Racine Avenue.

One of the injured, a child, was taken from the scene by UnityPoint Health — LifeFlight air ambulance to UnityPoint Health — Trinity Regional Medical Center with unknown injuries. The helicopter landed in a nearby bean field.

The other three were transported to Trinity by ground ambulances.
