KINGSDOWN, KS : 2 semis involved in fiery crash in southwest Kansas on Friday, 19th January 2024

A southwest Kansas sheriff says two semis were involved in a fiery crash on U.S. 54 Friday morning.

The incident happened near mile marker 79, which is just west of Kingsdown. Ford County Sheriff Bill Carr said at around 6:30 a.m. that both semis were fully engulfed.

The Kansas Highway Patrol and KDOT responded to the scene and 35-year-old Randy Trevino Almeida was taken to the hospital with suspected serious injuries.
