MARLBORO, VT : New York man dies in Route 9 crash on Tuesday, 4th October 2016

A man driving a car bearing New Hampshire registration was killed after he lost control of a vehicle, striking a tree, while traveling east on Route 9.

The man was identified on Tuesday afternoon as James P. P. Teta, 26, of Troy, N.Y.

According to a press release from the Vermont State Police, the crash occurred just after 10 p.m. on Monday night, while a light drizzle was falling and the road was wet.

Teta was driving a silver 2002 Audi A4, four-door; he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Seat belts were being worn and multiple air bags were activated.
