Emporia,KS : Emporia man victim of fatal crash in Sheridan County on December, Saturday 30th 2018

An Emporia man died in a one-vehicle crash early Saturday in Sheridan County.

Alfonso Roa-Nolasco, 27, was traveling northbound on K-23 Highway when his 2004 Dodge crossed onto Sheridan County Road 00, and for unknown reasons, entered the right ditch.

According to the Kansas Highway Patrol accident report, Roa-Nolasco overcorrected, and his vehicle rolled multiple times, ending up on its wheels facing southwest.

Roa-Nolasco was was ejected and was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a seatbelt.

The accident remains under investigation by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
