Lorain, OH : Two women hurt in Grafton Township crash on Friday, January, 19th 2018
About 11:57 p.m. Jan. 19, the truck was heading southbound on South Island Road, about a mile north of Grafton-Eastern Road, when it went off the west side of the road, according to the Patrol.
The Chevrolet struck a tree, a driveway embankment, another tree and then overturned, according to the Patrol.
The driver, a 40-year-old Elyria woman, apparently was not wearing a seatbelt, and a passenger, a 48-year-old Elyria woman,was wearing a seatbelt. Both were flown to Cleveland MetroHealth Medical Center for treatment, according to the Patrol.
Alcohol was a suspected factor in the crash; no charges were filed but are pending, said Sgt. David Dylag of the Patrol.
The crash remains under investigation.
