Boise , ID : Two people injured in crash after a head-on crash at Meridian Road near the intersection on Tuesday evening , February 17th 2015

Two people were sent to the hospital after a head-on crash on Meridian Road Tuesday evening.

Meridian Police say the crash happened just before 6:30 p.m. south of Victory Road near the intersection with Bloomington Drive.

Police say the driver of a red passenger car was traveling north on Meridian Road when he crossed the center line into oncoming traffic and collided with a silver minivan heading south.

Firefighters had to extricate both drivers from their vehicles before they were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Police say the driver of the car appeared to be a man in his 30s and the driver of the minivan was a woman in her 50s.

Police are continuing to investigate the crash.
