South Lubbock, TX : 2 injured in officer-involved crash near 82nd Street and Slide Road on Monday, 1st October 2018

A crash involving a Lubbock police vehicle prompted officials to close off a South Lubbock intersection for much of Monday night.

The crash was reported about 9 p.m. near 82nd Street and Slide Road and involved a Lubbock police officer, said LPD spokeswoman Kasie Whitley.

Upon arrival, responding officers located two victims, an LPD officer and a female.

The officer was taken to University Medical Center with minor injuries, while the female was taken to Covenant Medical Center with minor injuries, said Whitley.
