New Haven, CT : One person dead and eight others are injured after a three car crash Friday September 18 2015

Police say one person is dead and as many as eight others are injured after a crash involving three cars in downtown New Haven.
Emergency officials responded to the crash at 9:49 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Howard Avenue and South Frontage Road.
Police say one car was carrying six people. One person in that car died. A 12-year-old boy in that same car is listed in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital. A 42-year-old woman was operating the vehicle.
Authorities say a 37-year-old man was operating the second car while a 53-year-old man was driving the third.
The ages and conditions of other victims are not yet available.
Police say they do not know what caused the crash.
They say traffic will be impacted until Saturday morning.
