The South Carolina Highway Patrol said a man has died days after a collision in Greenville County.
According to troopers, the driver of a Honda was traveling on Batesville road when he crossed the center line, struck the driver of a BMW head on, then struck a guardrail.
The coroner identified the man as 71-year-old Wilbur Joseph Nunes. According to the coroner's office, Nunes died from multiple blunt force injuries. He died at the hospital on Tuesday.
The driver of the BMW was also injured in the collision and transported to the hospital. She was entrapped and had to be mechanically extracted, troopers said.
No charges were filed in the incident.
