Little Falls, NY : A one-vehicle crash that killed two people on May, Saturday, 20th 2017
State troopers are investigating a one-vehicle crash that killed two people Saturday morning.
Troopers said the driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Boonville man Alexander M. Platt, was with two other passengers — Boonville men Cody M. Seymour, 23, and Dalton D. Dorrity, 22 — when he was traveling south on State Route 28 at around 6 a.m.
Platt’s vehicle, however, left the roadway via the right shoulder, traveled down an embankment and struck a tree just north of McKeever Bridge, according to state police. Troopers said Platt managed to get himself out of the vehicle and flagged down an off-duty member of the Raquette Fire Department. The firefighter called for aid.
Troopers said Seymour and Dorrity were pronounced dead at the scene. The roadway was completely closed during the investigation, but has since been reopened.
The Old Forge Fire Department, Otter Lake Fire Department and Town of Webb Police assisted at the scene.
