Andover, NY : Driver injured in bus accident on Chestnut Street and Route 417 on Friday, June 17, 2016

One person was injured in a bus accident at about 3:45 p.m. Friday on Chestnut Street and Route 417.

The bus driver, who was reportedly the only occupant at the time of the accident, was flown by LifeNet helicopter to Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester for treatment, according to an Allegany County 911 Center dispatcher. No other vehicles were involved in the accident, the dispatcher added.

The Andover Fire Department, Andover Ambulance and New York State Police also responded, the dispatcher said.
