A car crash Friday night killed a DeLand man and injured three others, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Richard Marino, 72, was killed after attempting a left-hand turn into oncoming traffic around 9:35 Friday night on U.S. Highway 92, according to the FHP report.
Marino was traveling eastbound on U.S. 92 just east of DeLand when he attempted to turn his Kia Optima onto Marsh Road. The car passed directly into the path of a Ford van, striking the front of the vehicle, the report states. The van's driver, Walter Guy, 74, and a passenger, Constance Guy, 73, both from Tarvares, sustained serious injuries and were transported to Halifax Health Medical Center.
Anthony Breeze, 28, from South Carolina was also injured. He was following the van when his Nissan Sentra struck Marino's car. The report states he sustained minor injuries. The crash is still under investigation.
