SEATTLE, WA : Driver flees after triggering messy chain reaction crash in Seattle on Tuesday, December 20th 2016

Police are looking for a driver they say caused a messy chain-reaction crash Tuesday night near Woodland Park before quickly taking off on foot.
Witnesses say a van was hit so hard in the crash that it launched through two yards and struck a home.
The incident unfolded at around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday as a black BMW heading east on North 50th Street apparently hit a concrete divider near Whitman Avenue North before slamming into the van, witnesses said.
The van was hit with such force that it went through a neighboring lawn and clipped the house in the next yard, according to witnesses. The BMW then kept going and hit a parked SUV and pushed it forward at least one car length before it struck a fire hydrant.
When the BMW finally came to a stop, the driver jumped out and fled on foot - leaving an injured dog behind in the car. The dog was taken to a local veterinarian.
