Allentown, PA : Upper Macungie police look for hit-run vehicle after Route 100 crash on Wednesday September 21 2016

A sport utility vehicle sideswiped a pickup truck Wednesday afternoon on Route 100 in Upper Macungie and fled without stopping, police said.

Township police said they are looking for a black Kia sport utility vehicle that would have some passenger-side damage from the 4 p.m. crash at Route 100 near Tilghman Street.

Marianne A. Benner, 71, of New Tripoli was driving the pickup north in the right lane on Route 100 when the SUV, also going north, quickly cut over from the left lane and sideswiped the pickup, police said.

The SUV then passed in front of the pickup, turned right onto Tilghman Street and kept going, police said.

Another driver who witnessed the collision gave police a description of the SUV and a partial license plate number. The Kia was a recent model and the last four digits of the license appeared to be 2767, police said.

The pickup truck still could be driven after the crash, police said. Its damage was limited to dents, scratches and scuffs behind the left front tire and at the driver's door, police said.
