One Dead, Two Injured in Accident Palm Desert California

A Cathedral City man is dead, and two others injured in a pre-dawn accident in Palm Desert. The accident happened about 4:30a.m. on Washington street near Wildcat Drive. California Highway Patrol officers say a a pickup truck veered left, hit the median and then collided with a tree on the median.The driver, Willard Douglas, 26, from Indio, was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. Douglas, along with a 26 year old female from Indio, was taken to a nearby hospital. Officers say no one in the truck was wearing a seat belt. The name if the deceased has not been released.
