Ellis County, TX : Fatality crash in Ellis County on Sunday, 1st September 2019

The Kansas Highway Patrol reported a fatality crash involving one vehicle occrred Sunday morning, Sept. 1 in Ellis County.

Mary D. Stanley, 81, of Hurst, Texas, was driving her 2017 Chrysler Pacifica on 1-70 west bound near the US 183 Alternate exit at Hays when her vehicle left the roadway and struck the guardrail. Mary Stanley’s injuries were fatal. Her body was taken to Brocks-Keithly Funeral Home. Notification was made to the grandson who is to notify the son. Her one passenger, John R. Stanley, 81, also of Hurst, Texas, received suspected serious injuries and was first taken to Hays Regional Medical Center and later transferred to Via-Christi in Wichita. Both were wearing safety restraints.
