FLORENCE, SC : Moped rider dies after collision in Effingham on June, Thursday 29th 2017

A moped rider died Thursday after a collision with a UPS truck in Effingham, according to Florence County Coroner Keith von Lutcken.

The man was Michael Jay Yarborough Jr. of Scranton, the coroner said. Yarborough was 32.

The collision happened about 12:10 p.m. on Friendfield Road. It is being investigated by the Highway Patrol and the coroner's office.
