PHOENIX, AZ : 2 killed after head-on crash in west Phoenix on Wednesday, 10th July 2024

Authorities confirm two men have died after a head-on crash in west Phoenix late Wednesday morning.

According to Phoenix police, 37-year-old Eric Allen was driving west in a red Honda Fit on McDowell when he went into oncoming traffic and slammed into a black taxi cab driven by 51-year-old Indalecio Lara as he approached 57th Avenue around 10:30 a.m.

The two men and a woman inside the Honda were rescued, Phoenix Police Sgt. Phil Krynsky said.

Allen and Indalecio died at the hospital.

The unidentified woman is fighting for her life, according to Sgt. Krynsky, and as of 4 p.m., continues to receive treatment.
